    Italy invaded Ethiopia on October 3, 1935. It started a war that would force the Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie into exile. This war would allow Italian occupation and test the will and limit of the league of nations to stop the aggression of the expansionist states. The war lasted from October 3 1935 to May 5 1936.

    The rape of Nanjing, also known as the Nanjing massacre, was a mass murder of Chinese civilians in Nanjing; the massacre happened immediately after the battle of Nanking. It began on December 13, 1937. Casualties ranged from 100,000 to 300,000. Masui iwane was the leading general during this event. He ordered numerous mass executions and thousands of rapes. After World War II ended, Masui iwane and Tani Hisao, his lieutenant general, were guilty of war crimes and were executed.

    This was an agreement between Germany, Italy, Great Britain, and France. The agreement allowed Germany to have Western Czechoslovakia. In May of 1938, people knew that Hitler was planning to occupy Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia had an allegiance with France, which they were relying on for military assistance if Hitler attacked. Later France and Britain both retracted their promise to Protect Czechoslovakia. The countries agreed to let Hitler have Czechoslovakia without the people's consent.

    Invasion of poland

    Germany invaded Poland on September 1st; it lasted until October 5th of, 1939. Germany tried to justify what it did by accusing Poland and its allies that they were going to dismember Germany. The Soviet Union also helped invade Poland. This invasion was the start of World War 2. Britain and France declared war on Germany on September 3rd however it did nothing to help Poland. Poland stood no chance against the German Army, and they fell in a month. There were 66000 casualties of Polish people.

    The Western desert campaign was in the deserts of Egypt and Libya. It started on June 11th, 1940, and lasted until May 13th, 1943. This was also called the North African campaign. The campaigns were a series of battles fighting for control over North America. Britain, France, and Italy had an alliance that really turned its back on them and join Germany. Born June 10th, 1940, Italy declared war on Britain and France, which meant that a naval war was now a reality.

    The Battle of Britain was from July 10th, 1940, to October 31st, 1940. During this time, Germany dropped Bombs On Britain. The Royal Air Force was a huge part of keeping Britain safe. Brandon had to withdraw their forces from France, causing France to be taken over entirely by Germany. On July 16th Hitler ordered for them to be invaded however they fight dirty and try to strand Britain. Britain had better equipment, and the Air Force was the main reason why they won.

    The Pearl Harbor attack was on December 7th, 1941. It was a surprise attack by Japan on the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This event was what led to the United States joining World War II. This also weakens the relationship between the two countries over the years. More than 2,300 people were killed in the attack, and on December 8th, 1941, the US declared war on Japan.

    Battle of Stalingrad between August 22nd, 1942, and February 2nd, 1943. It was Germany's unsuccessful attempt to claim Russia. The Red Army fought them off and forced Germany to surrender. German forces lost 800,000 people. The Soviet Union lost 1 million people. This is considered one of the greatest battles in World War II.

D-Day was June 6th, 1944, which is when U.S and British forces landed on the beaches of Normandy and France. By August, northern France was freed, and the Army's kept pushing, meeting Soviet forces to take down the Nazi Reich. This was the most important battle of world war two.

    These cities were bombed by the United States because of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. On August 6th, 1945, Hiroshima was the first to be bombed by an atomic bomb ever. Death outright from this bombing was higher than 70,000. Nagasaki was the Second City to be bombed; only a few days later, on August 9th, tens of thousands were killed, and even more over the years from radiation poisoning.
