A german term for "lightning war". Blitzkreig is a military tactic designed to create disorginization among enemy forces through the use of mobile forces and locally concentrated firepower. Blitzkreig was to designed so that Germany could win the war faster. The effect of Blitzkreig was shorter military camnpaigns, which preserved German lives and limited the expenditureof artillery. -
Fall Of Paris
Germany invades Paris. Germany wanted to take over France. Because of this, president Roosevelt freezes the American assets of the Axis powers, Germany and Italy. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor
Hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the America Naval Base Pearl Harbor, near Honolulu, Hawaii. This attack was caused by America cutting off Japan's oil supply. The effects were 2,000 American Soldiers deaths during the attack, and America finally joining World War Two. -

An American attack on Japan. After a month of fighting, America was victorious. America needed a base near the Japanese Coast. The entire Garrison was wiped out. American losses included 5,900 dead and 17,400 wounded. -
Battle of Okinawa
The last and biggest of The Pacific Island battles of World War Two, the Okinawa campaign involved the 287,000 troops of the U.S Tenth army against 130,000 soldiers of the Japanese Thirty-Second Army. At stake were air bases vital to the projected invasion of Japan. The outcome was lots of deaths. The commanding generals on bith sides of the battle died. -

Great Britain and The United States are victorious in Europe. German troops throughout Europe finally laid down their arms. The Germans had lost too many people and two million Germans had been taken prisoner. This ended Germany's power -

The United States drop atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This happened because soldiers invading Japan would bring lots of American casualties and atomic bombs would bring the war to a speedy end. This caused thousands of Japanese casualties and ended World War Two. -
