German Gassing
The gassings in Germany begin. The victims, this time, are the physically and mentally disabled. Over two years, about 200,000 to 250,000 Germans are murdered by this action. This was called The Action T4. -
Einstein warns Roosevelt
A small group of European scientists fled the German Nazi threat and persuaded Einstein to tell President Roosevelt he should be forewarned. Nazi intelligence was steadily increasing and they were on the verge of creating a nuclear weapon. He wrote to Roosevelt in this letter. -

World War II begins. Germany invades Poland. This marks the beginning of World War II in Europe. The War is not international yet. -

Starts off as "The Uranium Committe", but later becomes "The Manhattan Project". NDRC sponsors the development of radar, electronics, computing, and a number of other important technologies. -

The nuclear bomb program in America is the Manhattan Project. It is the largest development and research program in American history to that date. British and Canadian scientists are drafted to the effort. It will eventually cost $2 billion and will employ 100,000. -
Pearl Harbor Attacked
The naval base Pearl Harbor was attacked. The Flying Japanese came flying in on our base real subtle like. This was early in the morning, now. They came in real fast like and flew down real close like. The shot down and crashed into our people and ships, causing much of a distubance. This did not please the Mister FDR. -
US declares war
The attack on Pearl Harbor infuriated FDR. The next day Congress declared war on Japan. This was a big step in World War II. It was America's entrance into the War. -
Germans firebomb England
Germany firebombs London, England. It was the most destructive of bombings on England. Almost all of London was virtually ruined. -
The Wannsee Conference
The Wannsee Conference held the top SS officers and Nazi leaders. They were to meet outside of Berlin. The decided on the "Final Plan". This idea was to exterminate the Jews. -
Germany abandons the nuke
Germany leaves behind the study of nuclear force. Hitler was an anti-semetist. He was the one who decided first to drop the idea of nuclear technologies. He claimed it was a "Jewish science" due to the large amount of Jew scientists involved in the situation's development. -

The Atomic Pile goes critical. The Manhattan Project was stationed in Chicago. Enrico Fermi Arthur Crompton were scientists on the Manhattan Project. They found that the nuclear bomb can produce the element plutonium. -

The Collosus computer is put to use. It is built and occupied by the English. They used it for codebreaking purposes. Mostly German codes were broken. -

The first German buzz bomb is used. Its country of choice is France. This was the beginning of the buzz bombings on France and any other country, for that matter. -
Allies agree on a Japanese bombing
Churchill and FDR secretly agreed to use military force against Japan. The agreement was to use the atomic bomb on the Japanese.This, of course, would only be possible when the weapon became available. The news was withhled from the Soviets. -
FDR dies
FDR was the president throughout almost the entire War. His death devastated the nation. It also put America at a temporary disadvantage. Harry S Truman took his place. -
Germany surrenders
Germany surrenders to the Allies. This was a big deal. The subtraction of Germany meant one less enemy to worry about. It is debated whether Hitler died from illness, suicide, or homicide. -
Hiroshima/Nagasaki gets nuked
Truman sends troops over the Pacific. The Enola Gay drops a nuke on Hiroshima on the 6th. It killed 140,000+ people. On the 9th, America drops a nuke on Nagasaki. That killed 40,000+ people. -
Japan surrenders
Japan surrenders. They were aboard the USS Missouri when it happened. The infomation of the success spreaded quickly to the Americans.
