    Canada declares War on Germany
    On September 1st 1939 Canada had officially declared war on Germany. Canada declared war on Germany because at that time Canada was apart of Britain, so when Britain declared war on Germany then that meant Canada would do the same. Germany invaded Poland which was one of the country's that Britain and Canada would protect.

    The Battle of Dunkirk
    On May 26th 1940, the Allies were fighting the Germans to take control of the western front. Dunkirk was a very important turning point in the war. Adolf Hitlers strategy depended on maintaining contracted on the invasion of France and Belgium. When the battle ended 198,000 British and 140,000 french and Belgian troops had been saved, and around 1,000 British soldiers died and 16,000 French soldiers had also died.

    Operation Barbossa
    After Germany lost the battle of Britain, on June 22 1941 Hitler decided to launch Operation Barbossa. This attack on the Russians broke the non-aggression pact that Hitler and Stalin signed in 1939. Hitler saw the Soviet Union as a source of raw materials, agricultural land and labour for the German army and conquering the Soviet Union was a part of Hitler's long-term plans for a new German Empire.

    On December 7th 1941, the Japanese bombed the U.S.A naval base in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour because they feared that the Americas were getting to close to their territory and if the U.S.A owned most or all of the islands that meant that they ruled that part of the ocean, Japan destroyed and badly damaged much of the U.S Pacific fleet and causing thousands of casualties.

    On June 4th 1942, the Americans declared war on Japan in the Pacific Ocean during WWll, six months after Japan bombed Pearl Harbour. This was an important battle because the U.S navy was able to launch and execute a surprise attack on the much larger Japanese fleet in the area. American cryptographers were able to determine the date and location of the planned ambush on the American navy. This helped in a big way to lead the Americans to victory.

    In the morning of August 19 1942, Stalin and the Soviet Union had lost a lot of troops to the Nazi's and wanted to invade them at Dieppe. Stalin and the Soviets demanded that the Allies invade Europe from the west to weaken Germany, and force them to fight a war from both sides. The Canadians came from the east, by sea and the Russians came from the west and invaded the Germans, but a German convoy met with the Canadian ship causing them to battle in the sea.

    On July 5th 1943 Russia and Germany were engaged in the biggest tank battle of WWll. This battle was Hitlers last chance to regain dominance on the Eastern front. This battle was the biggest tank battle in WWll. Arguably, Germany defeated Russia in the tactical battle but were unable to break through the Red army force fields and lost the advantage. The soviets won the battle of Kursk. This was a major turning point in the war for the Allies.

    On Tuesday June 6, 1944 the allies invaded the beaches of Normandy to try and push back the Germans. The Allies planned this attack because the Nazi's occupied France. Operation ''Overlord" marked the start of a long and costly campaign to liberate north-west Europe from the German control. This is the Allies biggest combination of naval, air, and land, used during an assault. This resulted back toward Paris. This resulted in an Allied victory.

    On April 16th 1945, Russia and Poland invaded Germany in Berlin, Germany. This battle resulted in the surrender of the German army and also resulted in the death of Adolf Hitler. The battle of Berlin was the last major battle in Europe during WWll. It resulted in the surrender of the German army and an end to Adolf Hitlers rule.

    The Americans bombed Japan because the war wasn't going to stop. The USA and Japan would rather tear them self apart, then stop fighting. The USA had to do it because would have kept coming and never stopped. Japan would have never surrendered, they would have kept coming until there heads were chopped off. They surrendered after the USA dropped the 2nd nuke.The nukes killed 226,000 altogether and injured. This resulted in an Allied victory
