    Nazis and Soviets sign Pact
    Hitler feared that he would have to fight a two war front as he did in World War I, which ultimately led to the split of German forces and Germany's loss in World War I.This pact was to last 10 years and basically set up that the two parties involved in signing this pact would remain peaceful amongst each other and when there is a discrepency they will swiftly work to fix the issue. Hitler was assured that he would not have to fight the war on to fronts.

    In the agreement, the Soviet Union supllied Germany with food in return for Germany supplyng the Soviet Union with machinery. The two countries would not attack each other. The entire pact essentially gave the Soviet Union a false sense of security Impact: When Germany attacked Poland, the Soviet Union did not intervene when Great Britain declared war on Germany, as was agreed in the Pact. But Hitler being the untrustworthy "leader" he was attack the Soviet Union on June 22, 1941.

    The United States lends materials an monies to the allies during the war. When the allies no longer had the resources needed to make planes, submarines, ships, or guns they turned to the US. In return America got naval and air bases to use when attacking other countries. Materials were sent to Britain, Soviet Union, France, and China.

    The attack of Pearl Harbor began because Franklin D. Roosevelt sent an appeal to the Emperor of Japan for peace, but got no response. Then their was word that a Japanese attack was imminent. The attack by Japanese navy against the US naval base on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was to prevent any US influence in the war that Japan had in SE Asia againt Britain

    This marks the United States's entrance into the World War II. The next day the US and Britain declare was on Japan. On the 11th Germany declares was on the US.

    the Battle of Stalingrad
    The capture of Stalingrad would complete or at least add to Hitler's idea of Lebensraum. The plan was to get past the front of Russia and go far east to the oil fields of the Caspian sea and gor far east to Stalingrad to capturre the Volga River which was the mainway into Russia. Hitler did not want his troops to occupy Stalingrad, but cover it with artillery. However, because of the fact that Stalin was his archenemy, he beame obssesed with occupying Stalingrad simply because of its name.

    In return, Stalin insisted that the city be preserved, causing the loss of hundreds of thousands of troops on both sides endind in Germany's victory over Russia. Germany was beat by Russia.

    US production of products was increasing and products for attacking were being sent to other countries from the US. The US and Britain were positioning themselves on the Britsh Isles for attack of Germany. This is the largest amphibious attack ever and the US Navy and the Royal Navy were the main components of the attack. American and British planes periodically bombed German production plants and one attack meant thousands of bombers ALL AT ONCE. In order to cripple Germany and enter Normandy,

    all railways were disabled, bridges were destroyed, and any planes that tried to take off were shot down. Normandy was chosen because it was on the coast of France and Spain and ensured the enemy was surrounded. During the attack planes were in the air, ships were on the sea, and soldiers were ready for attack, all while Germany was extremely confused because the cloudiness caused planes to fly lower. In the end Germany is defeated by Canada, US, and Britain,

    The US dropped the Atomic Bomb on Nasgasaki with the intent that Japan would surrender. The intent was also to break the spirit of the troops fighting in the war. The bomb destoryedeverything within a 1,000 foot radius. Seeing as though most of the buildings were traditionally made Japanese homes, as opposed to mor commercialized homes, they were made of wood and were easily destroyed. Many of the people that were alive after the bombing died of radiation. A lot of innocent people were killed.
