Japan invading Manchuria, was one of a couple incidents that caused conflict between the two countries. Japan invading, was the last incident before total war between the two countries. This event led up to what was known as the Second Sino-Japanese War. It was primarily a military conflict with Japan and China. -

The Non-Agression Pact was between Germany and the Soviet Union in an attempt to be allies. They agreed to not go to war with each other, even though they both despised one another. This act failed anyways, because Hitler stabbed Stalin in the back. In Stalin's attempt to make peace with Germany, while building up his military, it ended badly when the Germans later attacked the Soviets in operation Barbarossa. -

Germany invades Poland, even after being appeased. Germany gains a lot of land in Europe and power. Hitler makes an agreement with the Soviet Union to take Poland without any war, The Non Agression Pact. Stalin is promised land he has wanted, in return for Poland. -

"Blitzkreig" means Lightning War in German. This word represents the strategy the germans had during war. Strategy that causes disorganization among enemy forces. -

This pact was between 8 communist states in Europe. In existance during the Cold War. This was in response to NATO and was trying to maintain peace in Europe during the cold war. The alliance was transformed into the Collective Security Treaty Organization
