    Anschluss (The Versailles treaty)
World War I ended on 11 November 1918, after twenty seven countries met to create a peace treaty at Versailles. The Versailles Treaty forced Germany to have war guilt, pay huge amends, and give up almost all of their weapons. Germany was very resentful of the treaty because of this.
  • Munich Conference

    Munich Conference
Hitler argued that three million German-speaking citizens of Czechoslovakia should live in Germany. The Prime Minister flew to Munich to resolve this and the British people were split because of many people believing that the Versailles Treaty was too harsh. Hitler then made a deal on September 30th that gave the Sudeten territory to Germany.
