Annexation of Sudetenland
The annexation of Sudetenland occurred because some Germans no longer wanted to be apart of the Treaty of Saint Germain because it supported Nazi propaganda and antisemitism. It affected their economy in a bad way.

Pearl Harbor
On December 7th, 1941 the us naval base "Pearl Harbor" near Honolulu, Hawaii was attacked by Japan. Japan used hundreds of their planes and attacked in the morning. It was very unexpected and tragic. There were 2,400 american fatalities and 1,000 more were injured. FDR labeled it " a date which will live in infamy".

The Allied Powers invaded the beaches of Normandy around 6:30 am. There was about 2,000 US casualties, 4,000 allied casualties. The Allied Powers were trying to secure as much land as they could. They succeeded in about a week.
