U.S. Involvment in Europe The U.S. was verhessitant to enter the war. They did not want Germany to take over Great Britian, so we joined in. We helped by suppling them with materials they needed. -
Nazi-Soviet Nonagression Pact
Germany and the Soviet Union singed a pact in 1939. The both promised to not attack each other. Hitler offered Saltin land because he planned to attack the Soviet anyways. -
Germany Invades Denmark and Norway
Germnay at this point has started to take over more and more countries. Hitler is really trying to take over the world. He starts with the smaller countries and then works his way up. -
Hitler Invades Soviet Union
Hitler wanted to take Great Britian out. He thought the only reason they were still up is because the Soviet Union was helping them. He decides to invade the Soviet Union. This was his biggest mistake. -
Pearl Habor
On this day, Japan planned a suprise attack on the United States. They flew over a naval base at Pearl Harbor. They destroyed 20 naval ships, 200 airplanes, and killed over 2,000 soliders. -
U.S. and Great Britian Declares War on Japan
The day before, Japan had bombed the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor. This caused us to declare war on Japan and offically get involved in the war. -

Battle of Coral Sea
The Japanese planned to attack Australia. The U.S. sent naval ships to stop them. The U.S. succeded and saved Australia. -
The Big 3
FDR, Stalin, and Churchill had a confrence. They were called the Big 3. This conference was called the Teheran conference. -
V-E Day
German has surrenderd. The U.S. celebrates caling it V-E day. This stands for Victory in Europe. -
U.S. Bombs Hiroshima
The U.S. ordered Japna to surrender. Thet Japanese refused. The U.S. then drops an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. These bombs cause many deaths from explotion and many after from radiation. -
U.S. Bombs Nagasaki
Two days after the U.S. bombed Hiroshima, a bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. This bomb also caused major destruction. They surrendered after this bomb was dropped. -
V-J Day
This is the day the U.S. defetaed Japn in the war. V-J stands for Victory in Japan. This was a very importnat victory for the U.S. -
World War II Ends
The bombing in Japn end the war. After Japan surrenders, the war ends. There were many casualties in the war. The soviet Union had the most deaths overall.
