Pearl Harbor
After one year of planning, the Japanese attacked. December 7th, 1941 would be a day that would live in infamy. The Japanese bombed a naval base in Hawaii. 2,403 people were killed, and 1,143 were injured. Japanese Internment Camps
After the Pearl Harbor attack, the Executive order of 9066 by President Franklin Roosevelt was established and it established Japanese internment camps. Anyone with Japanese ancestry were to be put into a camp. About 120,00 Japanese Americans were put into internment camps. They were isolated for three years. Video Article -

Battle of Midway
The Battle of Midway took six months after the Pearl Harbor attack. The Battle of Midway was the first launched attack from the U.S. on the Japanese islands. Japan lost this battle due to the cracking of the Japanese naval code. Four Japanese and Three American Aircraft Carriers were in the battle. Video Article -
