  • Fall of Paris

  • Battle Of Stalingrad

  • Japanese treatment of War Prisoner

    Many Americans were held as prisoners in Japan. They would normally be enslaved and forced to do endless amounts of work. Four of every 10 American prisoners died of starvation, illness or abuse.   • Bombing of Dresden

    Allied forces bombed the historic city of Dresden, located in eastern Germany. The Red army had captured East Prussia and reached the Oder River, less than 50 miles from Berlin
  • Tokyo Fire Raids

    On the night of March 10, 1945, the United States Army Air Forces conducted a firebombing raid on Tokyo, the Japanese capital city. More than 90,000 and possibly over 100,000 Japanese, mostly civilians, were killed and one million left homeless, making it the most destructive single air attack of World War II.   • Battle of Okinawa

    Last major battle of World War II, and one of the bloodiest.
