July 1936
The spanish civil war begins. Francisco Franco recieves supplies from Germany while America stood by and did nothing due to the neutrality acts. -
September 1937
Germany signs a military agreement with Japan. -
August 1937
Japan invades mainland China. -
March 1938
Austria is annexed by Germany without protest by France and Britan. -
September 1938
Germany annexes the Sudenten, Czechoslovakia and Britain and France adopt a policy of appeasement. -
September 1939
Germany invades Poland, Britain and France finally declare war on Germany and the axis powers. -
June 1940
Italy declares war on Britain and France. Germany enters Paris on the 14th. -
June 3-6 1942
Battle of Midway is won by American forces, Japan no longer is able to threaten american naval forces with the loss of three of her carriers. -
September 9, 1943
Italy surrenders to the allies. The soviets counter-attacked the Germans starting on July 12th. -

Concentration camps were mostly built in Germany itself and poland, where most jews were found and could be transported from the Soviet Union. -

Some of the more famous concentration camps were located in Dachau, Lichtenburg, and Oranienburg. Dachau was in Munich, Litchtenburg in Saxony, and Oranienburg northwest of Berlin. -

11 million people were killed in the Holocaust, 1.1 million of them were children, and 6 million of them were Jewish. -
