German Invasion of Poland
History.com 1.5 million Nazi soldiers invaded Poland on Sept. 1, 1939. The Nazi soldier bombed Poland's airfields and used U-boats to attack in the Baltic Sea. Adolf Hitler the Nazi leader had claimed that the attack was defensive but Britain and France did not believe that. From, that state of situation on Sept. 3, 1939 Britain and France declared war on Germany. The invasion of Poland started the World War II. -

History.com Germany went and attacked Britain, starting from the English Channel. German Soldiers had ME109s mean while Britain had spitfires. During a three and a half months Britain government told their citizens to save aluminum and stiff upper lip to make spitfires and hurricanes for the British soliders. -
Operation Barbarossa - Russia
History.com Germany had signed a pact with Russia in 1939 but than broke the pact on June 22, 1941. The Soviet Union invaded Romania from that Hitler thought it was the threats to the Balkans to the oil supply. Than Germany aposed a countertreat to Russia. The "Directive No. 21: Case Barbarossa" was in December of 1940. This Germany planned to invade and occupy Russia. -

Hiroshima/Nagasaki - Japan
History.com An American bomber called B-29 dropped a atomic bomb over the city of Hiroshima in Japan. From this bomb it killed 80,000 people and about 90 percent of the city. Three days after the first bombing another B-29 bomber dropped a bomb in Nagaski, Japan, that killed close to 40,000 people. The emperor of Japan Hirohito announced that his country will surrender in World War II.
