Hitler ordered the taking of Stalingrad. But the Soviet Union protected it. -

On this day 160,000 allied soldiers went into Europe to make their way to Hitler to fight. More than 9,000 were killed that day. -

Hitler tried to seperate the allied armies in northwest europe. Germany put 250,000 soldiers into the war at first. -

On this day roosevelt died after four terms as president. He complained about a massive pain in his head and then passed out and the docters couldnt do anything. -

America dropped a second bomb on the Japenese city of Nagasaki. This cause Japan to surrender. -
