Hitler
Hitler became the dictator of Germany after world war 1 and before world war 2. The people of Germany loved Hitler because he provided new hope to the country who was in a great depression after world war 1. Hitler had a very big plan though and that was to kill all of the jewish people he could through concentration camps. He brainwashed the german people by telling them that the jews were the reason that they were in a great depression. He unfortunately killed 6 million jews. -
Kristallnacht
This event took place on November 9th 1938- November 10th 1938. This happened in Germany by the Nazis. This was a Pogrom against the jewish people and it killed about 91 people.
Auschwitz -
Germany Invasion On Poland.
On September 1, 1939, Poland was invaded by the Nazis. The attacks ended on September 27, 1939 when the Poland troopers surrendered to the Nazi’s. During this attack the Solviet Union invaded eastern Poland. On September 3rd, Britain and France declared war on the Nazi’s. -
Battle of the Atlantic
The Battle of the Atlantic was very risky to fight in. All of the attacks were in the ocean or right on the coastline. Traveling was easy because all the countries owned many watercrafts except traveling through water instead of air was a lot riskier. Many countries used sneak attacks because there was no cover and it was very easy to die. This was one of the most difficult battles to fight in, in word war 2 because of how difficult it was to fight. -
Auschwitz
Auschwitz was a concentration camp meant to kill Jews. This camp killed over 1.1 Million jews and took out a big portion of the jewish population. This was in the german- occupied part of poland. At Least 1.3 million jews went through the camps. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor
On December 7th, 1941, Japanese planes attacked one of the Americans bases at pearl harbor. The attacks killed about 2,300 people from the Japanese bombing. The Japanese destroyed 12 american ships and 9 other ships were barely still alive. The bombing destroyed about 160 planes and aircrafts that the U.S had owned. This attack did much damage to american crafts. -
Navajo Code Talkers
These were people who used their own language and codes to communicate. This was to confuse other countries in the war and so that people couldn't counter their attacks because they would be secret. -
Japanese Internment
The Japanese Internment was created in 1942 during world war 2. This was that the american government would put all people with Japanese descent inside of isolated camps. They did this so that none of the Japanese people living in the country couldn’t be a threat. -
D-Day
D-day took place in Normandy, France in June, 1944. The winner of this battle was the allied countries. An estimated 20,000 people died during this battle. People had to risk dying during this battle by having to move around by walking through areas with no cover. -
Yalta Conference
This event took place from February 4th- February 11th 1945. This was hosted by the Solviet Union in Yalta. This was meant to give out post war peace in europe. -
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
This took place from Aug 6, 1945 to Aug 9, 1945. This was an atomic bomb in a battle that the allied forces won. This took place in Hiroshima and Nagasaki during world war 2.
