The United States dropped the bomb on Nagasaki, Japan. The united States bombing resulted to at least 60,000 casualties. The phase resulted to Japan surrendering to the Allied powers 6 days later. -

The second world war ended when Japan signing surrender on the USS Missouri on the US Bay. The war resulted in United States being one of the main transporting county which boosted their economy.
