Japan surprise attacks Pearl Harbor. Japan considered Hawaii to be a dagger pointed at their throat. This attack drew the US into WWII and killed thousands of Americans. -
Allies use atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
After warning Japan that they would drop a massive bomb on them if they didn't surrender, which they didn't, the US dropped two atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These two atom bombs are the only atom bombs ever used in war and killed over 100,000 Japanese people. -

It was created in San Fransisco after WWII. In the general assembly each represented nation gets one vote on UN resolutions. -
Germany surrenders
After Hitler's unsuccessful last ditch effort to turn the tide of the war in the Battle of the Bulge, Hitler's suicide, and all of Germany being bombed and surrounded by the allies, Germany surrenders endind the war in Europe.
