    Genocide is one of the worst crime you can commit it is a crime under international law, during the World War one of the acts of Genocide committed was by Hitler when he but all the Jew into concentration camps and did horrible thing to them, in other words when he started the Holocaust. The Holocaust was when they took Jew from their homes and but them into camp's where they would do things like gas showers and beat them to death. Over 6 million Jews were killed during this time period.
  • Women in the war

    Women in the war
    Women played a big part in WWII like giving their children and loved ones away to they war but not only that some went as far as to give their whole life to the war. While some sides of the war were using the women to win it others were using their women to actually fight in the way, Hitler shamed the Americans for letting their women fight in the war "made for men". As the men went off if the women weren't going with them they stayed home and kept thing is order like the house old and the city.

    Italian invasion of Ethiopia
    In October 1935 the Italian soldiers came in and invaded Ethiopia, Abyssinia. They also forced the countries leader at the time into exile, the leader of Italy at the time was Benito Mussolini and not only did he do that but he also declared war on Britain. Meaning that many of Britain's lands and even the good that were in East Africa were now frightened because of this threat. Though Italy had all this power in the end they were not strong enough and lost this war that they made for themself.

    Rape of Nanjing/ Nanjing Massacre
    The Rape of Nanjing also known as Nanjing Massacre was where the Japanese killed 150,000 male war prisoner's and raped 20,000 women and girls of all ages, all girls were killed or mutilated in the process. After many of the Japanese soldiers came back from the battle of Shanghai they were tiered, undisciplined and hungry and while looking for revenge they did the unspeakable acts known as The Rape of Nanjing. Even with all the deaths that occrued the government refused to give and apology.
  • Munich Conference

    Munich Conference
    The Munich Conference was an agreement between Germany, France, Italy, & the UK to allow Germany to take over and build on certain parts of Czechoslovakia. Though this was a big deal this was only the result of a long list of agreements made by the countries listed. This might've been a good thing for Germany but it was a bad thing for Czechoslovakia because they had to surrender there defenses, and its border regions to Germany. The conference was made as a way to prevent yet another major war.
  • Invasion of Poland

    Invasion of Poland
    The Invasion of Poland was joint attack between the Republic of Poland by Germany and the Soviet Union. In the Invasion of Poland German soldiers broke through Poland's defenses and caused hundreds and thousands of Jews to flee the country. In the end the Poland leader Warsaw surrendered to Germany-Soviets all within a month of Germany attacking. Though Soviet took most of east Poland west Poland would remain under German control until 1945.

    Battle of Moscow
    The Battle of Moscow is a very important battle because in this battle the Soviets were able to protect their country from the biggest threat of all, Germany. Many people consider the Battle of Moscow a very important event, in fact some people even think it was the first turning point for WWII. The Battle of Moscow ended because the war tanks were defeated by the leader of the Soviet army, Pavel Belov. In the end this was just another win for the Soviet army against Nazi Germany.
  • Attack on Pearl Harbor

    Attack on Pearl Harbor
    The Attack on Pearl Harbor was a sneak attack from the Japanese upon the US. They attacked Pearl Harbor to prevent the US from ruining there military actions in Southeast Asia, UK, Netherlands and the US. In almost the a span of an hour the Japanese had already won the fight by destroying or sinking over a dozen ships, not only that but they also destroyed more that 180 aircrafts. The attack killed 2,403 US soldiers and 68 civilian people.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    Battle of Stalingrad
    The Battle of Stalingrad was a big battle between Soviets and Germany, this battle is also consider the bloodiest in all of human history. This is an important battle in WWI because this battle stopped Germany from advancing and "turning the tide" on the Allied powers. In the end the Soviet Union claimed there victory and won the Battle of Stalingrad leaving only about 90,000 German soldiers alive but only 5,000 survived the war camps and made it back to Germany.
  • Battle of El Alamein

    Battle of El Alamein
    The Battle of El Alamein was considered the turning point of the second world war. The battle took place near the western frontier of Egypt, this war was yet another win for the Allied powers(specially Brittan) against Germany. This battle was a big successes because they didn't go up against Germany but they went up against one of the biggest German commanders. In this battle about 13,500 men were either killed hurt. This fight was so big because it ended the long battle in the desert.
  • Invasion of Italy

    The Invasion of Italy was where the Allied powers landed on the mainland of Italy. During the Invasion of Italy the Leader at the time Benito Mussolini was captured and executed and from then on all the German forces in Italy surrendered and no less than six days later all of Germany surrendered. This was another cause for WWII because now Germany could not sustain one more conflict between two fronts. In the end the Allied powers came out victorious yet again leaving Germany defeated.

    D-Day (Normandy Invasion)
    The D-Day or the Normandy Invasion was where the Allied powers landed by Normandy and it was the beginning of setting Europe free and defeating Germany. In the Normandy Invasion the Allied power attacked the German forces on the edge of Normandy, in the end the Allied powers won leaving 9,000 of their men killed or hurt within only the first 24 hours. The Normandy Invasion brought back together the forces of land and air making them this the largest invasion in the human history.
  • Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
    The battle between Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a gore filled battle leaving 66,000 dead, 69,000 hurt, and 130,000 casualties. The bombing of Hiroshima was the first time that atomic bombs were used and not only did they kill people but they also destroyed countless cities. The US bombed Hiroshima because it was the only city that didn't have Allied prisoners, not only this but they also had a very big military base and the use thought this would be the perfect place to test out the atomic bombs.
