They agreed to take no military action against eachother for the next 10 years. The pact contained a secret agreement where the Soviets and Germans would divide into Eastern Europe. Joseph Stalin went over the pact to keep peaceful terms with Germany. -

Germany invades Soviet Union
There were three army groups, 150 divisions, and 3,000 tanks smashed through the frontier of Soviet Union. The invasion covered over 2,000 miles. It was the most horrible turning point in World War II. -
Japan attacks Pearl Harbor
The attack lasted two hours and killed about 2,300 people. It included eight battleships and about 300 airplanes. The day after the war F.D.R. asked Congress to declare war on Japan. -
Battle of Midway
Six months after the attack of Pearl Harbor, United States defeated Japan. United States took Japans plan and ambushed their Japanese Navy. It allowed United States to move to an offensive position. -
Allies invade North Africa
The landing of the code named 'Torch' made the British and Americans have continuous arguments. Americans planned on defeating Nazi Germany. -
Italy surrendered
Italy did surrender but they said the war was far from over. The general approved the surrendering of Italy. It allied the allies to land it southern Italy and beat the Germans back to the peninsula. -
Battle of the Bulge
Adolph Hitler attempted to split the allied armies in Northwest Europe. American units fought battles to issues the German. The allied took on the appearance of the large bulge. -
Roosevelt dies and Truman takes office
Roosevelt does after four years and office so Truman has to take over. Truman is now in charge of the war. He's also in possession of a weapon. -
Germany surrenders
The General signs and surrenders each German force. Dwight Eisenhower demanded them to be surrendered. Fight in the East was still going on but in the West, it was over. -
