Signing of the Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles was the end of WWI. It blamed everything on Germany and forced them to pay war reperations. Germany already in a finacial crisis tried and resulted in the German fiat becoming worthless. -
Adolf Hitler becomes leader of Nazi party
Hitler being a skilled public speaker was the perfect person to represent the Nazi party. Without Hitler the Nazi party would have been nothing. As a result he was given full power, as long as he didn't resign. Which he threatend to do because the original members formed an alliance against him. -
Hitler's Beer Hall Putsch
Hitler attempted to seize power in Munich. The end result was sixteen Nazis dead, and four policemen. This was the first time ever Hitler was nationally publicized. He was sentenced to 5 years in jail on treason, after only serving nine months he was released. -
Hitler's book "Mein Kampf" published
Hitler published his autobiographical manifesto in which he outlines his ideology and future plans for Germany. -
Germany admitted to League of Nations.
Germany was the bearer of blame for WWI. The League of Nations was created to ensure things like WWI never happened again. When Germany was addmited to the League of Nations it showed the Leagues weakness to not stand strong to what they believed. -

The Stock Market on Wall Street crashing caused the rest of the world to be affected. Other countries economys were hurt and The United States entered the Great Depression. -

President Roosevelt helped saved the U.S. economy. After he was elected in November there were 13,000,000 unemployed people in the United States. In his first "hundred days" he proposed a plan to reform America and bring it back to economic stability. His plan worked and Congess made sweeping efforts to ensure it. -

Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany. Before this President Hidenburg appointed Franz von Papen instead. After Papen fell another man replaced him, who was after replaced by Hitler. -

The boycott was both an act of revenge and a reprisal the "Gruelpropaganda", which were atrocity stories that had been allgedely circulated by foreign journalists and German Jew that damaged the Nazi party. -

The significance of this event was the Nazi party in Germany had no compettion now. They would automatically win all elections because with no compettion there is no need to change anything. -

After 10 Austrian Nazi's murdered the Austiran Chancellor Dollfuss and Mussolini recieved the news, he threatened Germany with war if they invaded Austria. This event was the key event that casued WWII. -

This event marked the complete control Hitler has over Germany. After President Hindenburgs death he became Führer of Germany. This marked the end of democracy for Germany, and the start of a full blown dictatorship. -

German Jews lost all rights by the Nuremberg Race Laws. Hitler believed it was there fault Germany lost WWI and blamed it on them. Although they had no reason to be blamed they were. -

Hitler created 300 divisons of men very quickly. The plan was though out when Hitler came to power at the end of January 1933. This event showed the world, Germany is ready for war and they aren't afraid to bring it. -
British Prime Minister Chamberlain appeases Hitler at Munich
This was a mistake for the British Prime Minister although a tactical decision. Britian was not ready for war against Germany at the time, so they allowed Hitler to go on. It made Hitler believe he could do this everywhere, it was also a significant morale boost for Hitler and his men. -
Nazis sign 'Pact of Steel' with Italy
The Pact of Steel was a pact between Germany and Italy. Japan was not involved in the signing of this deal. The pact ensured Germany and Italy would share intel and back eachother up when needed. -
Britain and Poland sign a Mutual Assistance Treaty
The Mutual Assistance Treaty meant if one country needed another countries help then the help would be sent. Poland was still attacked by Germany and Russia regardless. -

The American people had enough of world affairs. The founding fathers wanted us to be a seperate country and to worry about ourselves not Europe. This pleased the American people greatly. The United States did still sent supplies and support to the allied powers though. -

Hitler and his troups had been relentlessly attacking Poland for a month before the Soviet Union came to attack on the eastern front. The Polish army was regrouping and preparing to fight back at Hitler but this unexpected attack from the Soviet Union threw them off guard. -

This was a significant event in history because the president was re-elected. During a time of political unrest and when tensions were extremely high we kept the man in charge. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor
This was what brought the United States into World War II. Japans sneak attack on Pearl Harbor while the U.S.'s ships were docked. The American people were outraged and wanted to go into the war one way or another. -
D-Day
Normandy Landings, also reffered to as D-Day, was the day when American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy. This was the largest sea attack in history. This event contributed greatly to the allies victory in WWII. -
Hitler commits suicide
With allied troops outside his door, his best option was to commit suicide. Otherwise he would have had to pay the prices for his war time crimes. This was a significant morale boost for the allied powers. -
V-Day
V-Day also known as victory day is the day Germany surrendered in World War II. The allied forces were celebrating because this was the first step towards World War II being over. All they had left was Japan. With Germany out of the war the allied forces could focus on other things. -
United States drops atomic bomb on Hiroshima
The United States decison to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima is still controversial today. America did not want to risk half a million (estimated) American deaths invading Japan. This was the safest and quickest way to end the war. -
United States drops atomic bomb on Nagasaki
The dropping of the second atomic bomb on Japan, this time on Nagasaki was in a way the end of the war for Japan. They were decimated, two flourishing citys lay in the atomic waste of bombs. They had no chance but to surrender on America and the worlds terms. -
Japan Surrenders
After dropping two atomic bombs on Japan, they had no where to go. They had to surrender or the force of the allies would overtake them. This was the end of WWII for good. -
United Nations form
The United Nations forming was the League of Nations that will work. The world super powers were backing this, and wouldn't allow what happened in WWI and WWII to happen again. It hasn't happened again and the United Nations are a sucess.
