United States Passes Neutrality Act
This was the first of several Nuetrality Acts that the United States would pass stating their intent to stay out of the war. These would prohibit sale of arms and loans to warring nations, along with not allowing U.S. citizens to travel on warring countries vessells. -
Mussolini Attacks Ethiopia
This was the date that Mussolini and the Italians invaded Ethiopia. This spured on Hitler to invade other lands as well. -

Munich Conference
The Munich conference was a meeting between the leaders of Great Britain, France and Italy where they agreed to allow Hitler and Germany annex parts of Czechoslovakia. Hitler shortly after broke the agreement and took Czechoslovakia as a whole. -

The Nazis raid Jewish homes. First movement of Hitler showing harsh treatment to the Jews. This was refered to as "the night of broken glass" due to all the damage the Nazis caused. -

This was the time when Germany invaded Poland after Hitler was given part of Poland to stop invading other countries. -

This was the invasion of France by Germany that resulted in France being split up into three parts that would be governed by Germany and Italy. -

This was an agreement set by the United States a year and a half after the start of WWI that stated the U.S. would assist the Allied forces by sending them supplies. -

This was a major battle in WWII where nazi Germany and the axis powers invaded the Soviet Union. Trying to take over Stalingrad. -
Roosevelt and Churchill Sign Atlantic Charter
The Atlantic Charter was a list of Allied goals for the post-war world. This was signed by the United States and British leaders on account for the rest of the Allied countries. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor
Surprise military attack on Pearl Harbor by Japanese fighter planes. Several thousands of people died, some soldiers and some innocent, and this attack was one of the main reasons the U.S. citizens wanted to join the war. -
War Production Board Established in U.S.
This was a program that was created to direct businesses and factories to provide goods for the war effort. -
Battle of Coral Sea
This was the first battle that was fought in the Pacific Ocean between the Allies and the Japaneese. The fight was mainly in the air, yet the Japanese were able to take down many of the Allies ships in the water. In the end the Allies walk away with a victory. -
Invasion of Northern Africa by Allies
The Allies attacked Germany from both the east and west pushing the Germans north back across the Mediteranian Sea. This was refered to as "Operation Torch". -
D-Day
This was the day that the Allies opened a second front in Normandy, France to eventually free Western Europe from Nazi power. -
Battle of Leyte Gulf
This was the largest Naval Battle during WWII and to some, the largest in history. This was also the last battle in Pacific. -

This was the bloodiest battle of the Pacific. -

President Roosevelt dies from a brain hemorrage. Vice President Truman takes office. -
Hitler's Death
Adolf Hitler committed suicide with his mistress in his bunker. He shot himself with a pistol and told his gaurd to burn his body. -
Victory in Europe (V-E Day)
This was the final conclusion of the War between the Allies and Germany in Europe. -
Bombing of Hiroshima
The United States drops its first nucuelar bomb in Japan. -
WWII Is Over
The Allies force Japan to finally surrender, ending the war completely.
