  • Nazi-Soviet Non-Agression Pact

    ww.historyplace.com/worldwar2/timeline/ww2time.htm'Soviet Russia' Foreign Minister Molotov signs the Nazi-Soviet Non-aggression Pact. This made it so Hitleer wouldn't have to fight on two sperate fronts. This made it so neither of the parties could attack each other while the war was going on. On the agreement there was also an agreement on how they would split the land if they needed to. This would benefit bothe parties alot by not having either of them have to fight each other it would save time, money, and resources.
  • Germany Bombs Paris

The air-raid alarms sounded at 1.30 p.m., and anti-aircraft guns in the centre of the city opened fire. Traders in the Bourse in the heart of the city scattered or shelter as 'machine-guns on the roof tops opened fire. This helped Hitler capture France.
  • The Atlantic Charter

    WW II The United States and Great Britain issued a joint declaration that set out a vision for the postwar world. In January 1942, a group of 26 Allied nations pledged their support for this declaration, known as the Atlantic Charter. This is considered one of the first key steps toward the making of the United Nations in 1945. the renunciation of all aggression, right to self-government, access to raw materials, freedom from want and fear, freedom of the seas, and disarmament of aggressor nations.
  • Pearl Harbor

    WW IIIt started out with American troops intercpting messages form Japaneese troops. They then decoded these messages to find out that an attack is going to be launched on us. Roosevelt then tries to contact the emperor of Japan, but there is no reply. On December 7 about 230 miles away from pearl harbor started to let planes fly. At 7:53 a.m. the first wave of attacks happen. The next day after the bombing America declares war on Japan, thus making America no longer neutral.
  • The Battle of the Buldge

This event was seen as Hitler’s last major offense in the war. This event helped bring about the end of the German army and Nazi reign.
  • The Battle of Midway

Once America decoded Japans plans to ambush them they were able to counter their ambush attacking their few aircraft carriers, inflicting permanent damage on the Japanese Navy. An important turning point in the Pacific campaign, the victory allowed the United States and its allies to move into an offensive position.

Hitler wanted to take the city for the strategic reasons. Stalin will not lose a city with his name in it. Turning point of German winning, but Russia won and left Germany's spirits broken.

  • Liberation of Paris

    WW IITwo days earlier, a French armored division had begun advancing on the capital. Members of the Resistance, now called the French Forces of the Interior, proceeded to free all French civilian prisoners in Paris. The Germans were still counterattacking, setting fire to the Grand Palais, which had been taken over by the Resistance, and killing small groups of Resistance fighters as they encountered them in the city. This helped weaken Germany's power in Europe and cause them to fall.

  • The Death of Hitler

    WW IIOn April 28 Russian forces started to invade Germany. On the 29th Hitler had gotten word that the Russian forces had gotten through and Hitler was still hiding in his bunker underground. On April 30th Hitler came out of his bunker and said goodbye to all of his staff and people he knew. Than later that night him and his wife commited suicide, he shot himself and she swallowed poison.
  • Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    WW IIThis event is when America, with the presidents approval, dropped the first atomic bomb ever. This was after we had declared war on Japan. We used this as a way to show how powerful we actually are, and we also used this as a warning for other countries. This helped cause the axis powers surrender in this world war, thus causing an end to the war.
