The U.S plane Enola Gay dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. This bombed killed about 78,000 people and injured 100,000. -
Bomb on Nagasaki
3 days after the first atomic bomb hit Japan had not yet surrendered. The U.S dropped another in Nagasaki. This bomb killed another 40,000 people. -
Japan Surrenders
After the two atomic bombs being dropped and leaving the country in ruins, Japan finally surrendered to the allies.
