What: was a military campaign of the Second World War, in which the Royal Air Force defended the United Kingdom against large-scale attacks by Nazi Germany's air force.
Where: the battle of Britain happened in the united kingdom.
Why: Germany wanted to destroy their portion prepare for an invasion.
The outcome: Britain won the battle. -
Operation Barbarossa
Who: Adolf Hitler did he sent Germany to attack the Soviet Union.
What: Operation Barbarossa is the attack on the soviet union by German forces.
Where: Belarus and Estonia were the most important places the events took place in.
When: June 22, 1941, Adolf Hitler sent men to acquire the western soviet union.
Why: Germany wanted to conquer the Soviet Union and repopulate it with germans.
The outcome: Germany made it 1000 miles from the outskirt of Moskow then they started killing Jews. -
Pearl Harbour
Who: U.S. Navy Commander Alan D. Zimm, Japanese Captain Mitsuo Fuchida, who led the aerial attack on Pearl Harbor.
What: 183 aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy attacked the United States Naval base at Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.
Where: the battle happened in Pearl Harbor in the territory of Hawaii.
When: December 7, 1941
Why: they wanted the territories to acquire the oil and rubber.
The Outcome: the Japanese won the battle by forcing the United States into World War II. -
Battle of midway
Who: The United States Navy defeated a Japanese attack against Midway Atoll.
What: The United States defended a large attack from the Japanese landing a successful win for the midway.
Where: Midway.
When: 7 June 1942.
Why: it was where the island was situated it was an important advance plane the japan needed.
The outcome: the United States successfully won in the sea and air Battle of Midway. -
Germans launch battle of Kursk
Who: The Germans launched an offensive against the Soviets causing the start of the battle.
What: the battle of Kursk was the biggest battle with tanks in it.
Where: Eastern Front near Kursk.
When: August 1943.
Why: The Germans hoped to weaken the Soviet offensive by cutting off the forces that they anticipated would be in the Kursk.
The Outcome: the Germains won but there were huge military blowbacks for themselves. -
Normandy Landings
Who: The British and Canadians overcame light opposition to capture beaches codenamed Gold, Juno, and Sword, as did the Americans at Utah Beach.
What: it marked the landing of the landing crafts of operation overlord.
Where: on the northern coast of France.
When: June 6, 1944 – July 1944
Why: cause they wanted to liberate north-west Europe from German occupation.
The outcome: the Allied Forces of Britain, America, Canada, and France attacked German forces and gained the victory. -

What: dropping the bomb on Japan causing them to surrender.
Where: Japan.

Why: because they knew the Japanese were playing something and they didn't want it to happen.
The outcome: Japan's surrender. -
Battle of Leyte Gulf
Who: the Japanese in the Philippines.
What: invasion of the Philippines, and reinforced the Allies' control of the Pacific.
Where: the battle took place in the Philippines and the Pacific Ocean.
When: 26th of 1948.
Why: the air and sea battle of World War II that crippled the Japanese Combined Fleet.
The outcome: the Philippines won the battle, therefore, reinforcing the Allies control of the Pacific.
