Hitler became the chancellor of Germany in January of 1933. He promised to help the economy of Germany and increase the military. In 1934 he increased the size of the army, began building warships, and created a german ariforce. He also made pacts with other countries. -

Invasion of ethiopia
Italy invades ethiopia. The Leauge of Nations was faced with another test. Mussolini then decieded to work with the German Plan and take over everything. -
Munich Confrence
This was a meeting with the leaders of Great Britain, France, and Italy. Italy allowed Germany to annex certain areas of Czechslovakia. -
Kristallnacht
This was called the night of broken glass. The germans attacked all of the jewish community and broke property and things. -
Non Agression Pact
The nonagression pact was a pact between two countries where they promised to not fight each other. This pact was between Germany and the soviets. -
Invasion of Poland
France and Britain pleged their support to Poland. Hitler had a pact with Stalin. The non-aggression pact eliminated danger of a Soviet invasion for Hitler. Germany then invaded Poland and then Britain and France declares war on Germany. -

Battle of Britain
Hitler wanted to get rid of competition. Hitler ordered bomb riads on Great Britian, increasing in intesity. Churchill refused a peace settlement. Luftwaffe, a german air force, attacked Britian night after night. -
Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor happened in the middle of the night. 8 battleships and more than 300 planes destroyed. This lead the unites states into the war. -
Stalingrad
Was the largest confrontation in this war. The allies fought the soviets to get control of Stalingrad. -
Normandy Invasion
Normandy invasion was a huge accomplishment. Its when all the allies went in from the back of France and took over Germany. -
V-E Day
A rush towards Berlin occured in the spring of 1945. On 1945 the americans and soviets met in the German capital of Berlin. Hitler killed himself. Hitler did this in his bunker. Victory came on May 8, 1945. -
Atomic Bombing of Japan
The united states decided to bomb Japan after they bombed Hawaii. The Unites States bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. -
V-J day
The allies meet in confrences and decided that Germany would be divided and occupied by allied troops. Then they decided to drop an atomic bomb on Japan.
