Non Aggression Pact
Where they singed the non aggression pact between Soviet Union, Europe, and Nazi-Germany. This meant that they wouldn't go to war with each other for ten years. Adolf Hitler did go war with Soviet Union two years later, which meant he broke the non aggression pact. -
Invasion of Manchuria
This event was also known as the Mukden Incident, it was the capturing of the city of Mukden by Japanese soldiers. Many say that Japanese soldiers did this alone and that government was not involve. -
Tri-Partite Agreement
This was an agreement between France, Britain, and the U.S. This was contributed to the currency of the three countries. This is an important event because they needed to maintain a stable currency to stay equal. -
Rape of Najing
There was a large number of mass murder and mass of rape that was happening by Japanese soldiers. At least 300,000 civilians were killed during this, many women were raped and children were killed. -
Anschluss
Hitler wanted all German speaking nations in Europe to be a part of Germany. Germans soldiers marched into Austria, annexing their land and wanting Austria to be ruled by Germany. They wanted to unite Austria with Nazi/Germany. -
Kristallnacht- Night of the Broken Glass
It was a group of people who didn't like Jews. They would go to schools, synagogues, Jewish homes, or even business to kill the Jews. This group killed almost around 100 Jews in one day, lasted November 9th to November 10th. -
Hiroshima/Nagasaki
The U.S. fired two nuclear weapons on cities in Japan which were Hiroshima and Nagasaki. U.S had permission/ consent by the United Kingdom by the Quebec Agreement. This killed 120,000 people in total from both weapons. -
Invasion of Poland
This was where Germany soldiers invaded Poland all around it's border. Another huge thing was when the Germans bombed the Polish airfields. This was very important because this was one of the main cause of WW II. -
Evacuation of Dunkirk
This evacuation was caused by the Allies wanted to evacuate their troops because they wanted the war to end. Many troops were put through war with low resources, this involved the French, British, and Arras. Allies evacuated the troops by putting them on the beach so ships/little ships would rescue the troops from the crucial war. -
Lend Lease Act
A policy that was officially called "An act to Promote the Defense of the United States". This program was made to defeat Germany, Japan, and Italy by distributing resources. They did this because they wanted security for the U.S. -
Operation Barbarossa
This was a German invasion by the Soviet Union. This didn't work out so well for German troops to defeat the Soviet Union. This took a huge turning point during the war by the Soviet Union winning but lost many troops during this. -
Pearl Harbor
This was surprise military attack by Japanese navy against the U.S. Japanese attacked Hawaii, they destroyed at least 20 American naval vessels and eight battleships. There was 2,400 Americans that died during this attack. U.S wanted to declare war on Japan after this horrible event. -
Battle of Midway
This was a naval battle that was fought with aircraft. The U.S. destroyed most of Japans pilots and their best troops for the aircraft. This was a huge even that ended threats of Japanese to invaded the Pacific. -
D-Day Invasion
This is where the landing operations were happening by Allies, they invaded Normandy Operation. It was largest invasion in history, this also started the Allies victory on the Western Front. -
Battle of Bluge
This was started by a group of Germans. German armies surprises the Allies by attacking the Ardennes Mountains of Belgium. This was a horrible war by lack of resources, horrible weather, and the soldiers being in battle for a long time. -
Llberation of Paris
A military battle that was fought by Paris and Belgium. This started by French forces gaining up on the Germans because of the U.S third army. They wanted freedom from the governments. -
Surrender of Germany
Germany has surrendered from the Allies because Germany was surrounded by Easter and Western Allies. Germany knew that this wasn't going to end well. Shortly after Germany had to surrender because of Hitlers suicide.
