Invasion of Poland
A suprise attack by Germany on on Poland and the Germans used a new military stratagy called blitzkrieg. Blitzkrieg is a form of warfare in which suprise attacks with fast moving airplanes followed by massive attacks with infantry forces. -
Invasion of Denmark and Norway
Germany made a suprise attack on Denmark and Norway. Denmark fell after four hours after the attack and Norway surrendered after two months. -
Invasion of the Soviet Union
The sound of tanks and aircraft announced the begin of the invasion. The Soviet Union was not prepared for the attack and although they had a very large army the troops were not well trained nor well armed. After one week of the attack the Germans pushed 500 miles into the Soviet Union. -

A declaration of princaples by the british prime minister Winston Churchhill and U.S president Franklin Roosavelt on which the allied peace plan at the end of WWII was based.
