Invasion of Poland.
The Invasion of Poland is what started World War II. Hitler invaded Poland and went against the Non-Aggression Pact. The invasion of Poland was when Germany invaded Poland unexpectedly and that was when World War II started. America tried really hard to stay out of the war until the Attack on Pearl Harbor occured. -
Cash and Carry.
Cash and Carry was when the Americans were allowing the Europeans to use our weapons and amo for the war. As long as England was giving us some form of payment in return for our services. -
Munich Pact.
Germany, Italy, France, and Great Britain signed the Munich Pact stating that Hilter was promised the Sudeiton Land in if he didnt claim anymore European Territory. -
Battle of Britain.
The second world war campaign which was conducted by the German Air Force against the United Kingdom through the Summer and Autumn of 1940. The British Royal Air Force fought a tough battle with the Nazi- Germany Air Force for British air space to prevent a Nazi invasion. -
Lend Lease Act.
The Lend Lease act was when the Americans would lend our stuff, such as weapons and amo to england because they didn't have enough money to give to us to pay for the services that we had been providing for them. -
Attack on Pearl Harbor.
Sunday, December 7, 1941 the Japanese soldiers attacked Pearl Harbor in their fighter jets. They shot at the ships that were docked and or anchored near the harbor. No one on Pearl Harbor was expecting it so no one was ready when the Japanese arrived. Shortly before that the Americans had cracked the code and could read what was being said between the Japanese but the Americans couldn't figure it out in time to warn the people on Pearl Harbor. -
Invasion of Normandy.
June 6, 1944 the Invasion of Normanday. Also known as Operation Overload was a very scary time for everyone invovled. That battle took place in Western Europe.The American Army invaded the beaches of Normandy by charging them. The Army went in on ships so they had to wait for low tide to avoid all of the traps that were set out. Before the army set out on ships there were some soldiers that dropped down with parachuttes to move in from behind the Germans. -
Battle of the Bulge.
The Battle of the Bulge was the last major Nazi offense against the Allies in World War II. The battle was a last attempt by Hitler to split the Allies in two in their drive towards Germany and destroy their ability to supply themselves.
