The Battle of the Bluge was after the Allies had penetrated German forces . The Germans, desperate for a win, sent in most of its soldiers. The Allies won this battle and made it to Berlin. -

This was the day that the Allies accepted Germany's unconditional surrender due to the suicide of Adolf Hitler. -
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
This was the day that the US dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki leaving Japan in submission. -

This is the day of Japanese surrender not long after the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
