Ribbentrop and Molotov signed the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact on August 23, 1939. It is also referred to as the German-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact and the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact. The pact publicly stated that the two countries would not attack each otehr. The pact was supposed to last for ten years but it only lasted for less than two. -

The Battle of Britain was the first major military campaign to be fought entirely by air force. It is also the largest and most sustained aerial bombing campaign. The objective was to gain air superiority over the Royal Air Force.
