Spanish Civil War
The Spanish Civil Wsr was a major conflict in Spain that began on July 17, 1936 and ended on April 1, 1939. Following a rebel coup supported by conservatives fascist, Spain became politically and militarliy divided. Due to this, general Franco Francisico began a war against the loyalists of the left-wing Republican government. Franco and his army was supported by Nazi Germany and Italy, while the Republican government was supported by the Soviet Union. Franco won, establishing his dictatorship. -

The pact was forged when Italy was opposed by the League of Nations, when Italy invaded Ethopia and recieved help/support from Germany. The alliance also "contained a protocal committing Germany and Italy to follow a common foreign alliance. -

The Anschluss was the occupation and annexation of Austria into Germany. The Austrian Chancellor tried to hold a referendum for a vote on the issue, but was canceled by the Austrian Nazi Party. Britain Signs a Pact with Poland
This signing was known as the Anglo-Polish military alliance. The pact contained promises of mutual military assistance between Great Britain and Poland if one was to be attacked by another European country. Britain sought to prevent German agressions by signing this secret pact. -
Germany Invades Poland
Germany invading Poland, marked the start of World War II. Germany invaded Poland from the north, south and west.
