Japan attacks Pearl Harbor
American sailers at Pearl harbor awoke on december 7, 1941 to explosives; a japanese attack. Military leaders knew an attack was underway, but hthey were aware of when or where it was going to occur. They knew an aattack was coming because they hacked into the japenese secret message codes. The japanese had sunk and damaged 19 ships moored in pearl harbor. 2300 americans were killed with over 1100 wounded. -

A noose was closing in among Berlin. Allied soldiers, 3 milliion of them, came from the south west, and another six million soviet troops wre approaching from the east. Allies use atomic bombs on Riroshima and Nagasaki
After japan dropped the first atomoc bomb in new Mexico, the americans then dropped a bomb on Hiroshima, because Trumans warning didnt seem to scare the Japanese enough. This japanese city lost about 70- 80 thousand people. Three days later, a second bomb was ropped on Nagasaki, a slightly smaller city. Around 70 thousand people wre killed immediatly, bu the radiation falloout from the two explosiions killed many more peoplle.
