    German's Invasion of Poland
    In the early 1930's Germany wanted to sign a non-aggression pact with Poland. This is because Hitler wanted to avoid war. He broke the the pact because of growing frustrations and paronoia. These skeptical thoughts were caued by Poland's growing empire. Germans invaded in the fall of 1939. Poland was defeated shortly after the invasion. Later that year, Germany annexed all of Poland's former territorries. Nazi's stationed temselves in Poland, and some of the first concentration camps were built.

    The Battle of Britain
    The Battle of Britain consisted mainly of bombings from the air. The Nazi party targeted Britian, because they saw Britian as a major threat. Germany's strategy was to keep firing, and to kill as many people as possible. Nazi's wanted Britain to surrender. Unfortunatley for them, Britain stayed strong, and continued to resist. They fought back under the rule of Winston Churchill. Despite the bombings, Britain managed to win the battle, thus being Hitler's first loss.

    Operation Barbarossa
    Operation Barbarossa is the tittle of the German invasion of the Soviet Union. (Russia) This invasion broke a non-aggression pact. Hitler miscalculated the amount of Russian troops, and weapons. Even so, Germany and Russia were evenly matched. However, the harsh Russian winters affected Germans greatly, because they were not equipped with the right clothing. So eventually, the Russians won, and the Germans suffered a great setback in their military focres, and their morale.
  • Battle of Moscow

    Battle of Moscow
    Germany instigated the Battle of Moscow by bombing it, and aslo harming Kremlin. (A neighboring city) Naturally, more bombings and attacks ensued, from both sides. Slowly, Germany was advancing towards Moscow. Zhukov, a political leader whom Stalin feared planned an attack. A new wave of Russian soliders dressed in white, to camoflouge against the snow, caught Germans by surprise. This ended the battle, with the Soviet Union coming out on top.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    Battle of Stalingrad
    Hitler started the Battle of Stailgrad purely out of hatred of Russia, and Josef Stalin. The German Army advanced towards Russia. Hitler also sought out the oil located in Stalingrad. It was a bloody, gorey battle. Thousands died, and both armies suffered considerable losses. In the end Russia won, and Germany was losing more men and more hope.
  • The Battle of Kursk

    The Battle of Kursk
    The Battle of Kursk was fought between Russia, and Germany. Tanks, machine guns, and bombings from the sky were used. Because the Russian Army was so huge, they had an advantage from the start. Stalin's Red Army took the offensive, and pushed Germany out of Russia. Along the way, Stalin's army managed to free the Ukraine from Germany's grasp. Eventually, the German army was defeated once again by the Russians and the day was considered a turning point in the war.

    Canada, Great Britian, and the United States' soliders traveled through the English channel and up to Northern France. We battled Germny and eventually pushed them out. So, we were able to liberate France from the Nazis.
  • Battle of the Bulge

    Battle of the Bulge
    During the Battle of the Bulge, the allies were trying to penetrate the German border. The allies consisted of the United States, Britain, France, and Russia. Hitler instigated the Battle of the Bulge, by bombing the Ardennes forest, intending to split up the allies. Thus followed a battle. The allies fought the triple axis, and the alies won. This is important because this battle was Hitler's last ditch attempt to bring up morale, and he lost. This battle was the beginning of the end for Hitler

    The Battle of Berlin
    The battle of Berlin was fought between the Allies, and the Triple Axis. Stalin had his troops enclose the perimeter of Germany. Germany's soldiers and weapons had greatly depleted, and as the Allies got closer, Hitler hid undergroud. Eventually, the Allies overcame Germany, and Hitler comitted suicide. This event is crucial to European and American history because it marked the end of World War 2. Hitler was finally defeated.
  • Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
    These nuclear explosions were used on Japan, by America. We wanted to end the war once and for all, and we had to eliminate the last part of the Triple Axis. This bombing is signifigant because it was the last causualty of World War Two. The Triple Axis was finally defeated. There were no more dictators. So, Hirohito was no longer in power, and Japan was free from his rule of terror.
