Nazi forces invade Poland and show the enormous power of Hitler's blitzkrieg ("lightning war"). Using imprived technology, the blitzkrieg struck a devastating blow against the enemy. -

Germany and USSR invade Poland. The Polish forces are greatly outmatched and they're defeated. -

Germany invaded France, Belgium, and the Netherlands in a lightning war. They figured out mechanized warfare at this time. -
Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact
Germany and USSR make a pact for no war. They also divide Poland as Lebensraum, or living space.
