In germany, jews and non-aryans are banned from practicing law and working in civil services. This was called Laws of the Restoration of the Profesional Civil Service. Also Law Regarding Admission to Bar, which was anyone of non-aryan decent could be denied access to the bar. This was the start to Hitlers complete banning of Jews, and non-aryans. -
Neutrality Act
President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs The Neutrality Act. Also know as Senat Joint Resolution No.173, this was suppose to help the U.S. stay out of European affairs. This would require vessels to carry a permit to carry fire arms, and americans could not sail from hostile countries. Also imposed an embargo on the sale of arms to dangerous countries like Germany, and Italy. this signing came right as Europe was starting to get the war started. -
Nanjing Massacre
the population of Nanjong was subject to an uncontrolled butchery. Japan soilders poured into the city chinese were shot and killed. suspected members of the chinese army were stripped of their uniforms, tortured, and murdered. Many of the women were forced into sex and raped, and murdered after. This ended in over 40,000 deaths -
Kristallnacht
On this day the Nazis unleashed a bundle of atttacks on non-Jews. In just a couple of hours thousands of synagogues, and jewish buisnesses were desroyed. Not only those but also jewish housholds were torn down and damaged. This event was also called "the Night of Broken Glass" Earning this other name because of all the broken glass covering German streets. -
voyage of the St.Louis
the German transatlantic liner St. Louis sailed from Hamburg, Germany, for Havana, Cuba. it was carrying mostly jews trying to get away from the germans. Both the U.S. and Cuba denied acccess to the ship. after this the ship returned back to europe and were murdered by nazis. -

The japanese wanted to establish a base and they were on their way to do it when americans heard word of it. They immediatly sent all avalible aircrafts and sunk one of the japanese destroyers. by the end japanese had sunk one of the american destroyers and an oiler. -
Bttle of Guadalcanal
Japan landed on the island of Guadalcanal to take over the air base there. a couple months later the U.S. landed to take it from them. Posession of this airbas was important to have control over the sea lines of communication between America and Austria. By the end of this battle Japan had lost 2/3 of their army, but barely put a dent into the U.S. army. This made it clear that Japan had no chance of controling. -
Battle of the philipine sea
This was said to be one of the greatest carrier battles of world war 2. It was between japans combines fleet and US 5th fleet. after one day japan had lost 200 aircrafts and 2 carriers. By the end the US came out on top. We only lost 130 aircrafts and hadnt lost any carriers. Japan had lost 100 more aircrasts and one more carrier. The japanese piolets did not have much training and US piolets had finished flight school and had much practice. -
victory over japan day
Japan has surrendered to the Allies after almost six years of war. There is joy and celebration around the world and 15 August has been declared Victory in Japan day. The Japanese Government had agreed to comply in full with the Potsdam declaration which demands the unconditional surrender of Japan.
