  • Blood and Iron

    Bismarck’s policy of “Blood and Iron” convinced many German speakers that they could be united not through democratic ways but through common sacrifice against common enemies, basically the French.

  • Russia Told To Mobilize

    In case Germany started a war, Russia agreed to support France. Soon after France told Russia to mobilize because of the threat from the Germans that they were going to attack.

  • French Lose Land To Germans

    The French lost land to the Germans and they wanted it back. This soon led to French nationalism and created strong dislike between Germany and France which would soon lead to war.
