    Joseph Stalin becomes leader of the Soviet Union.

    In 1929 Stalin over throws the tyrannical government of Russia and remains the ruler of the Soviet Union until he is over thrown in 1953.
  • Japan invades eastern China.

    After the Mukden incident the Japanese, the kwantung army, invaded Manchuria. They Then established it as a puppet stated called Manchukuo, and they established it until the end of the war.

    The incident was a failed sabotage of a railroad track, that soon lead to the invasion of eastern China.

    Japan decided to leave the league of nation after they were blamed for the events of Manchuria.

    In 1934 Hitler becomes president of Germany, only less than a year earlier he was made chancellor of Germany.

    Know as the civil war in Spain, it was a massive conflict between the nationalist, lead by Francisco Franco, and the republicans, who were loyal to the democrats.

    The conference was an agreement that nazi Germany would annexe part of Czechoslovakia, mostly the German speaking parts.

    Germans signs the German-soviet pact in August which allows them to invade Poland without the soviets interfering.
