    Germany invaded Poland by using the Blitzkrieg tactic. They where very successful in taking complete control of Poland mainly due to the fact that Poland's army was ill equipped. The invasion of Poland made France and Great Britian Declare War on Germany.

    In the war in Europe the Allies wanted to prepare for a cross-channel invasion by sending supplies from the U.S to Great Britian. However German U-boats made this task difficult. The Allies countered by using the convoy system and using the newly invented Radar to sense German U-boats. As a result, the United States was able send the much needed supplies to Britian for the invasion.

    After the fall of Belgium, Holland, and Luxemburg Germany invades france by using the Blitzkreig tatic. The attack forced French and British troops to retreat from the northern part of France, to southern France and also to Great Britian. France was an ideal place for the Germans to make a staging area to invade Great Britain.

    Japanese planes attacked U.S ships stationed at Pearl Harbor. They destroyed a good portion of our ships, but they many of our aircraft carriers where out of the dock so the United Sates still had effiecent navy. This attack forced the United Sates into World War 2.

    A group of U.S bomber pilots flew modded bomber planes so that they have enough fuel to fly to Tokyo. However, the pilots did not have enough fuel to make it back so their plan was to land in China. The raid caused a little bit of damage and additionally it was big morale boost to the U.S.

    During the Invasion of the Phillippines, U.S soildiers were able to fend off the Japanese for three months when they ran out of supplies. After the Soildiers surrendered, they were forced to march 70 miles through tough jungle conditions to the POW camps. Around 10,000 men died during the March.

    Location of a battle that took place between the U.S and Japan. The Japanese wanted to cut off shipping lanes from the U.S to Austrialia and also to set up for an invasion of Austrialia. After two days of intense air-combat, The United States was able to push the Japanese back.

    Japan attacked the Midway Islands in hopes of gaining dominance in the Pacific and maybe then an invasion of Pearl Harbor. Fortunately, after the 4-day bettle we were able fend off the Japanese and we destroyied 4 carriers, causing them to loose their offensive force. The battle is cosidered the turning point in the war.

    A battle fought between Germany and British Forces in Egyipt. Eventhough the battle was a stalemate, the Allies were able to stop the German advance into Egyipt.

    Guadalcanal in the solomon islands was a fight between Japanese and American forces which lasted 6 months. The battle tough the U.S how to fight in jungles.

    A major battle in World War II Europe in which the Germans fought the Soviet Union at Stalingrad. The battle consisted mostly of street to street combat. It was one of the key battles the Soviet Union won in which the Germans lost their ability to fight offensively.
