Aircraft Carriers
The Aircraft were a huge part of the war. And Japan was expectantly skilled at them. If any opponent sunk these boats the planes could not land and the pilots ran out of gas. These were huge targets for any side. Aircraft Carriers are boats that docked the planes on them. -

Hirohito was a dictatorial selfish and stubborn man. He was seen to all of Japan as a god. He did not want to lose this status. Even after America dropped the first atomic bomb he still wanted to keep his power. He did not care for his people, he even went out of his way to collect artifacts after the bombing. The Japanese people were at his ever command, that is why the Allies demanded the unconditional surrender. -

The Germans where trying to put themselves back together after WW1 they had gotten all the blame and had to reduce their land and military. They took Hitler as their leader and followed him into a new war. They invaded Poland using Blitzkrieg lighting warfare. They wanted their land back. -

France and Britain finally tried to stop Hitlers advance and their colonies followed them into war. -

Pearl Harbor
Japan launched a surprise attack on America they have been planing for years. We lost 8 battle ships, this attack enraged America. Japan was going to come back in at third wave but they felt they did enough. So they did not destroy our factories. -

They were issued by the U.S government and were known as debt securities for the purpose of financing military operations during war time. -

America was devastated and wanted rustic though war was declared we did not do any for 6 months. -

Other locations are Hanford, Washington and Oak ridge,Tennessee. The goal is to develop an atomic weapon before Germany or Japan. -

The thought of an American made Atomic weapon was inspired out of fear of someone doing it first. So, we started the Manhattan Project and researched and produced two atomic bombs that we dropped on Japan to try and get them to surrender. Over 875,000 people. And still effects Japan till this day. The farmers of the two sites are suffering due to paranoia the public holds. They believe the crops are radioactive. -
Unconditional Surrender
This is indefinite surrender meaning that Japan would give up their government system so they could not expand like they did in this war ever again. DR and Winston Churchill met decided that the Allies would not stop until they had the unconditional surrender of Germany,Italy, and Japan. -
Rosie the Riveter
She is a women's empowerment symbol stating that women can do anything a man can do. That women and men are equals. She represented the women working in factories and shipyards during the war. -

The first and only time America took on more casualties then Japan. The Japanese knew ever inch of the Island and had underground tunnels that no one could find. -

The civilians of Japan began to fight in the war. They would rather die then be taken by the American soldiers. So kazuko means they would die with honor. Civilians were often given two grenades one to kill as many Americans they could and the other to kill themselves. Like the Kamikaze's they too wanted to kill as many Americans they could before dying. -

Final Solution
America dropped two atomic bombs on Japan they finally surrendered. The United Nations was created to help prevent future world wars.
