    Battle of the Atlantic
    On July, 3rd, 1939 the Canadians, Americans, and Germans went to battle in the Atlantic ocean. It started when The Candians and Americans started to bring their war supplies over in a ship, when the Germans woouldn't let them, which started the battle.The Battle of Atlantic was important because it was the longest continuous militrary campaign of Worl War 2, it was also important because the supplies woiuldn't ahve gotten to Britian.

    On September, 10, 1939 Canada declared war on Germany. Even though Canada was independant they still felt that they were still somewhat part of Britian and wanted to help their Allies. The fact that Canada declared war on German is important because this was a little bit after Canada got tooken away from the British ruling, and it was their own choice instead of Londons.

    On July, 10, 1940 The Battle of Britian happened, mostly in the air of Britian. In this battle Germany and Britian were the main focus. This battle happened becsue Germany wanted to destory Britians Air Force. The Battle of Britian was important because it prevented Germnay from invading Britian. Without Britians airforce, Germany would have easily gotten into Britian and tooken over.

    On August, 13th, 1941in Canada, women were allowed to the formation of CWAC. This happened because they needed more people to help with the war and poeple were also becomming more open to letting women do more. This is important becausew they finally let women join the army

    On December, 8th, 1941 in Hong Kong, Japan and Britian went to war on the same morning that the U.S Navel base got attacked on Pearl Harbor, which forces the Empire of Japan to attack the British. This was significant because it made Canadians turn against Canadian Japans.

    On May, 4th, 1942, The government of Canada imposed rationing on the Canadians because since they were giving food to the Army they needed to make sure they saved enough. this was significant because the Canadians were really cut down on what they had to wear or eat so it was hard for them and they have never done anything like this before.

    On August, 19th, 1942, America, Canada and German raided France in Dieppe because The Soviet Union was pressuring the Allies to open a second front in Western Europe. But,the Allies needed to build up their military before undertaking a full campaign. They thought a large raid on the coast of France could force the Germans to send more of their military resources away from the Soviet Union.

    D- Day
    On June 6th, 1944 Allied forces invaded Normandy because they thought that the Germans expected the attack to be on the Pas De Calais. This was significant because this was the end to World War 2 and they made sure they planned everything with the element of suprise.
