source The Japanese said that Chinese troops attacked them at a Bridge near Beijing. This was an excuse to invade China. The Japanese were given the permission to go and kill people in Nanjing. They have killed about 250,000 people. They took control of Chinese people, and all the major cities in China. The reason for Japan's horrible behavior was that they wanted their country to grow, and China had the resources that could help in expanding their country. -
Germany's Invasion of Poland
sourceGermany invaded Poland with more than 2,000 tanks and over 1,000 planes. They bombed the city. Thousands of people died. The Germans took over Poland. Conquering Poland would give Germans more living space. -

Operation Barbarossa
sourceHitler wanted to invade Russia, to gain control of its territory. So, he went to the Soviet Union, with over three million soldiers and three thousand tanks. Soviets had more tanks and aircraft than Germans. Germans did do damage to the Soviet Union, but the operation failed. Germans got affected to because it was winter and soldiers froze to death. -
