    This bill started March 11th 1941. it was signed by president Roosevelt. it allowed the U.S. to trade and lend weapons to their allies. this made fighting with the axis powers easier.

    This was a tragic day for u.s.. early morning on december 7th 1941, japanese planes attacked a u.s. naval base at pearl harbor near honolulu, hawaii. they destroyed 20 vessels and 300 planes. over 2000 americans died and 1000 more were wounded. this was the event that caused u.s.a. to join the war as an allie power.

    president roosevelt gave a name to a gathering of the representatives of 26 nations. this was when they said they would keep fighting against axis powers. a year later 24 more countries joined.

    d day was a giant push between the allied powers at the beaches of normandy of france. the area was controlled by germany and they were assualting it. the allied powers won and gave them hope to continue fighting.
