Hitler Invades Poland
When Hitler (Germany) invaded Poland, it only was a matter of weeks till they had taken control of their desired contry. Prior to the attack on Poland, Hitler had signed a peace treaty with Poland because he wanted to neutralize the possibility of France and Poland making an alliance against Germany before Germany had a chance to rearm. In my personal oppinion, I think that Germany shouldn't have invaded Poland because it kicked of WW2 and countries were just recovering from WW1 financially. -
Hitler Gains Control of Western Europe
Hitler took over Poland in less than a month and the invasion soon sparked to other attacks on various countires. Hitler became greedy and wanted to have more power adn land. Then Germany took over France and other parts of western Europe. I think that it wasn't a good idea to start WW1 overall, but i think that Hitler was smart to think of taking over western Europe first rather than eastern Europe. (Eastern Euroupe is land locked and western isn't.) -
Germany invades the Soviet union
Like their Peace treaty with Poland, Germany also had an agreement with the Soviet Union. This agreement, that both Stalin and Hitler had signed, was a nonagression pact that stated which the that two conties would not turn against each other in war. Later, Germany decided that they wanted the plentiful land of the Soviet Union for themselves, and turned on the comunist country. In my oppinion, it was not a rather logical idea to ivade the Soviet Union because they are quite larger than Germany. -
Japan Attacks Pearl Harbor
On decemner 7th,1941, Japan took their plan of a surprise attack on the U.S, into action. japan had been conjouring up this attack for a while and were very careful in their plans. Then the planes took off on the 3,000 mile journey to one of the Hawiian islands. The Japanese bombing cost the U.S thousands of lives and 7 U.S navy battle ships. I think that the bombings were the wost part of the war, because the bombs killed many innocent people. -
the Allies attack Europe on D-day
D-day was an invasion of Normandy in france, by the British. Before the invasion, the Germans had been expectin an attack, but they didn't know where the attack would take place. So, they stationed their nazi troops close to Calais since it was close to the british isles. They had quessed too far to the east. After much fighting, and many deaths,the allies captured Paris on August 25, 1944. I think that the allies were invading in order to protect themselves from Hitler and Germany in general. -
The U.S drops the atomic bomb on Japan
Have you ever heard of the worlds first ever deployed atomic bomb? This bomb was dropped by the american B-29 bomber plane. The bomb killed almost 90% of the cities population and took 80,000 lifes after, from radiation. The devistating blow took place in Hiroshima, Japan. 2 days later, the U.S dropped another bomb on Japan. I think that it was selfish of the U.S to take so many innocent lives and also because they just bombed japan to show other countries that they were not weak.
