Hitler starts building up his Nazi army after being army after being mad about how Germany was treated after World War I. He promises a better world for Germany. He was appointed Chancellor and then he was a dictator. -
Hitler invades France
Hitler starts to take over small areas around Germany. Countries around him didn't want to start a war with him due to what happened in World War i. So they decided to leave him alone. Later on, Hitler invades France and completely takes over. -
Pearl Harbor
America chose to be neutral about the war happening in Europe. All of a sudden, one of the Axis powers (Japan) attacked Pearl Harbor. This caused America to join World War II. -
America joins the war
A day after Pearl Harbor America decided to declare war on Japan, thus declaring war on the Axis powers. They sent men to battle Japan and help Great Britain against Germany. The allies powers have grown stronger. -
Battle of Stallingrad
Hitler needed to get rid of the Soviet Union. He invades the Soviet Union and pushed through all the way to Stalingrad where it started snowing. Hitler's men was not prepared for the snow. They later on had to fall back, giving Germany a huge lost. -
D-Day
The allied forces plans to liberate France. Doing so, they had to invade the beaches north of France. Many men died but the plan was successful and France was liberated. -
Battle of the Bulge
The allied powers were closing in on the west side of Berlin. Hitler decided to launch a full front assault onto the allied forces. Hitler brutally failed and then the allied powers continued to move in on Berlin. -
Hitler loses
Knowing that his plan failed, Germany waited for the allied forces to close on the west and east side of Berlin. Hitler decided to kill himself. Then Berlin, was taken over by the allied forces, -
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
A new bomb was tested in New Mexico and it proved to be the most deadliest bomb of all time. America plans to drop those bombs onto Japan to make them surrender. First, the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima. Three days later, America dropped the atomic bomb onto Nagasaki. -
World War II ends
Japan surrenders after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The war has officially ended. America took the other part of Germany and the Soviet Union took one part too.
