Then the Japanese army accused Chinese descendents of this act and responded with a full invasion that led to the occupation of Manchuria. Japan was then annexed and kicked out of the league of nations. -

German/Soviet Nonaggression Treaty announced
Signed in Moscow, Soviet Union, by Soviet Union Nazi Germany. This made it so that Germany could invade poland without being opposed. The pact also contained a secret agreement in which the Soviets and Germans agreed how they would later divide up Eastern Europe. -
Germany invades Poland
Hitler and Germany blitzed Poland. At first they bombed Poland to destroy air capacity, railroads, ammunition dumps and communication. After destroying basically everything that Poland would use to defend themselves, Germany invaded Poland with an overwhelming amount of soldiers, tanks and artillery. -

Japan attacks US Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor
Hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941. The US asked congress to declare war on Japan and they approved it. Japan's allies were Germany and Italy and they also declared war on the US officially bringing us into WWII.
