This operation took place in Algeria and Morocco. The United States and United Kingdom launched this operation on the French North Africa troops. Battle of Anzio
This battle took place in Anzio and Nettuno. This battle involved the Allied powers against the German forces. The allied powers had the goal of taking back control of Rome from Germany. With the allied powers doing so well in this battle it led to many more opportunities to take back land from Germany. This battle ended in the fall of Rome.

Normandy
The battle took place in France. The allied forces of Britain, America, Canada and France attacked German forces. This battle famously known as D-Day is when the allied powers stormed the beach with a force of more than 150,000 soldiers. The allied powers finally got victory.
