Anne's gets irritating.
Anne cried terribly and so her dad was fed up with her attitude. She was always crieying here and there for any reasons. Because of that her dad said some bad things like "You have done us a great injustice" or "We haven't deserved such a reproach as this". -

Operation Overlord was the code name for the Battle of Normandy. On this day, Eisenhower, the supreme Allied commander confirms that the invasion on Normandy, in france, will ocure on June 5th 1944 -
Soviet troops recapture Sevastopol.
Soviet troops are basicaly the Russian army now called the Red Army. They had lost one of there areaa but managed tu get it back. Today Russia does not own Unkraine in witch Sevastopol is in and there is conflic with that. -
Luftwaffe installations on French soil pounded for D-Day.
Luftwaffe is a German word for air force. On this day, they were pounded by an Allied aircraft on french soil, to make them harmless for D-Day. -

Mr. Kraler ceme upstairs to the secret annexe to tell everyone that Mrs. B, who was the demonstrator of biseness, wants to eat lunch in the office (in the secret annexe) at two o'clock every afternoon. Due to this, they would all have to be silent (no W.C., no talking, no eating, nothing!) -
Water in the house.
Mouschi tried to do a pool using wood shavings. It made a disaster in the house with water seeking trough the ceilings. The pool had went down from the loft to the attic and landed in a barrel of potatoes. The ceiling was dripping, and with to attic floor having holes in it, lots of yellow drips came through and into the dining room on some books and clothes. -

Allies attack the Gustav Line south of Rome.
The Gustav Line is a German defensive line drawn across the middle of Italy just south of Rome. It was built by a Feild Marshal Albert Kesselring. The attack on this line was also part of a large plan to force the Germans to provide as many troops to Italy as possible so the Allied troops could assault for what became D-Day. -

German general Erwin Rommel got seriously injured in Normandy when an RAF plane strafes his car, fracturing his skull. -

The bloody battle of the Hedgerows ends when the U.S. capture the French town of St.-Lo. -
Hitler servives ans assassination.
On this day Hitler survives an assassination attempt by a member of his own group, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg. Because of that, Stauffenberg and many other senior soldiers and officials were executed. -
Guam island taken back.
U.S. Marine and Army divisions retake the island of Guam. This island was originaly owned by the U.S. but stolen by Spain in 1898, Guam was then captured by the Japanese in 1941. -
Red Army visit the Nazi's labor camp.
The Red Cross visit to the Nazis' Theresienstadt labor camp. This results in a report about a beautification program and a tightly controlled tour. The deportations to Auschwitz-Birkenau will end shortly after the conclusion of the Red Cross visit. -
