Nazi Germany invaded Poland
Nazi's leader Adolf Hitler promised, that he would take the lands back to its original where they were belonged to Germany during the world war 1. Nazi then started to expand its terrority. At the same time, France and Britian, they wanted to avoid the war so they signed an appeasement with Hitler, letting him to take parts of the Czechslokvia. However, the appeasement failed to stop Hitler to join the war. Soon after the Nazis occupied the entire Czechsolkvia and eventually they invaded Poland -

Battle of Britain
The Battle of Britain, was a Britain defence war against Germany in Britain. Germany wanted to invade Britain because Britain was the only one that wanted to fight against them. The Royal Air Force played an really significant role in this battle. They shot numbers of bombers from Germany. Althought Germany had more planes and pliots than Britain, but Britain was still managed to win this battle against Germany. -
The Convoy System during the Battle of Atlantic
Germany used submarine (U-Boats) to sink supply ships coming to Britain from other countries in AtlanticOcean. The Allies tried to counter the U-boat attacks by travelling in large groups called convoys. They often had destroyer warships that would help to escort them and defend them from attacks.For a period of time in 1941 this method was fairly effective in helping get many ships through safely to Britain. -
Battle of Hong Kong
Battle of Hong Kong, also known as Defence of Hong Kong and Fall of Hong Kong. On the same day as Japan attacked US at Pearl Harbor, force of the Japan attackc Hong Kong. Inexperienced Canadian soldiers were protecting Hong Kong for the Britain. Canadian troops helped HK to defend, but they surrendered after 17 days of hard fighting. -
Pearl Harbour attack in US Hawaii
Japan desepartly needed U.S oil, but the amercian halted their exports like oil and other materials to Japan. There were only 2 options for Japan: to leave China or to take millitary actions. Japan eventually chose to take millitary actions. Since Japan wanted to control the southeast Asia without being impended so they decided to neutralize U.S by attacking Pearl Harbour before they initially declared wars on U.S. This tremendous sudden attack had brought U.S to join the allied against Japan. -
Battle of Dieppe
The Allies wanted to scare the Germans so they would move soldiers away from Russia and wanted to find out more about German coastal defences. Canadian help allies to test the german forces along the french coast at Dieppe in France. Canadian had suffered the massive casualties - 900 dead, 1000 wounded, 1900 became prisoners of Germany only 2200 safely to Britain. This battle of Dieppe was one of the darkest event in Canada’s military history. -
Mouse Holing tactics
Mouse Holing tactics was used by Canadian troops while assaulting Italian mainlands with its allies during the Battle of Ortona, Italy.They used`mouse-holing`technique to capture the city. Blasted holes in walls of buildings to avoid being shot by Germans. Canadian soldiers learned valuble skills during this battle and that with Ortona they were able to push the Germans out of Italy. -
Battle of D-Day, to liberate France
The Allied started invasion in Europe, began with Canadian, American and British infantry troops landing on the coast of Normandy, France. Alied soldiers landed at 6 different beaches. They faced underwater obstacles, land mines, barbed wire, and heavy machine-gun fire from the germans. At the end of the day, they had met their objectives. The allied power victories on Normandy not only made the Germans to retreat from France, it was also the turning point of the power that Nazis had in Europe. -
Atomic Bomb dropped in Japan
[U.S wanted ](www.history.com/this-day-in-history/atomic-bomb-dropped-on-hiroshima)to end the war as soon as possible, the americans dropped the first atomic bomb nicknamed the Little Boy in Hiroshima. 3 days later the american dropped the second atomic bomb nicknamed the Fat Man in Nagasaki. 2 atomic bombs had caused over than 200,000 civilians being killed, and the cities in Japan were completely sabotaged. With those impacts from the atomic bomb and also the Soviet Union declared wars on Japan to assist China. Eventually Japan surrender to the allied power. -
