  • Rise of Totalitarianism

    A Form of Government where a dictator established a firm rule over its people by restricting personal freedoms and prohibiting political opposition.
  • Rise of Adolf Hitler

    After the defeat in WW1, Germany suffered humiliation. The Germans decided to look for a stronger leader and Hitler took that chance and to win support his Nazi army.
  • Adolf Hitler

    He ascended power and disposed of any opposition to his leadership. He called his new government the Third Reich.

    The Treaty can't let Germany build up any strong army. Hitler decided to train soldiers by disguising them as hunters and students to rebuild the country.

    The British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, and France agreed to Hitler's invasion of the Sudetenland as long as Hitler promised to claim no further anywhere.

    He promised the Italians a return of the great Roman Empire and glory.

    He is a communist ruler, he believed in a revolution by workers and laborers and that eventual rule by the working class. Stalin wanted to move Russia from a backward rural nation into a great industrial power.

    He is the Prime Minister of Japan, he plans to build Japan into a military block in the Pacific and expand its power further into Asia.

    Germany messed up with a two-front war in the Great war, Hitler decided to sign a Nonaggression Pact with Stalin promising not to attack each other.
  • France fall

    Around May, Germany decided to invade France. France eventually surrenders and yield half of their country to Germany.
  • Lights go out

    Germany went to invade Poland, Hitler's forces swept in quickly using a new technique called the lighting war. In less than a month Poland fell, since the cause of this France and Britain declared war two days after.
  • Lend-Lease Act

    Roosevelt was elected as a Third Term in the office. He knew that England fell and the US will son to be next, he provided weapons and money to any other country in need.
  • Battle of Britian

    Hitler prepared bombs to bombard Britain to force them to surrender. more than 20,000 bombs were dropped killing more than 30,000 people.
  • Pearl Harbor

    The US responded to the Japanese aggression by imposing an embargo on oil and steel. This action caused Japan to take what it is needed, by doing so Hideki Tojo knowing he would not win but planned to attack and destroy the US naval Fleet known as Pearl Harbor.
  • D-Day

    The US and British forces made an alliance with each other and fought their way to retake Paris.
  • V-E Day

    Hitler committed suicide due to the US and Soviet Union invading in both sides of his location.
