Hitler had the idea to "unify" the German people. To do that he attempted to take Austria. -
Treaty of Munich
This treaty was made by Hitler,Chamberlain, Daladier of France and Mussolini of Italy. The purpose was to decide if Hitler should have Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia. Unfortunately there was not a representative for the Czechs. Hitler made a statement that he intended that this was all he wanted. -
Invasion
Even though Hitler gave assurance he was only wanting some land from Czechoslovakia, he ended up invading them not soon after the treaty. -
The pact with Russia
A non-aggression pact was made between Hitler and Stalin. This was a part of their plan to take Poland -

Albert Einstein wrote to Roosevelt asking if we could build the bomb. -
Poor Poland
Not sure if they saw Hitler coming. Which is unfortunate because he definitely invaded them. -
Strike back
Britain and France were not cool with what Hitler was doing. To solve their problems instead of being civil and communicating with him, war was declared. -
Britain: on their own
Under a new Prime minister, Winston Churchill Britain now fights the Axis powers, but alone. Dun dun dunnn With Hitler wanting to conquer Britain he figured their navy was too powerful for him to get through that way. That's okay though, he found another way. -

Watch out Berlin, Britain is coming in hot with a bomb. That's right Germany isn't the only smart country. Britain came back with a boom, quite literally. -
Lend-lease act
Since Britain was on their own, the US decided to not sell them what they needed to help but lend it to them. The US said we would aid and support. -
The next victim
Hitler doesn't stop there, he then invades Denmark and Norway. His motive in doing so was to have access to the Swedish ore. Also to establish a base there to break the blockade Britain had created on Germany. -
Phoney war
Britain is referred to as a bunch of "phoneys" as they declared war but took no action. -
Another betrayal
Dang Hitler, back at it again. Breaking the nonaggression pact he attacked the Soviet Union. -
Pearl Harbor
Destroying 300 military aircrafts, wounding over a thousand, and killing over 2000 Japan thought it would be nice to drop a bomb on Pearl Harbor. The US then declared war on Japan but man what did they get into. After that Germany and Italy declared war on the US. -
Battle of Stalingrad
Over 200,000 German troops were killed and the Soviet Union lost over a million of their own. -
Oh Romainia
Romania was abundant in oil which the Germans used as their primary source. -
The bombing
Over a thousand bombs were dropped on a oil production facility in Poland. That's a real bomb-er (get it, like bummer). -
D-day
The first wave of troops were sent out by Eisenhower. He sent them with a some words of hope, “You will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.” -
The test explosion
Summer of '45 the bomb was finished. It was then tested in New Mexico and was successful. -
Hiroshima
Enola Gay was a B-29 that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Instantly about 80,000 were killed. -
Atomic bomb: round 2
Nagasaki was the next victim of the atomic bomb the US was so proud of. Not even 3 days later the US obliterated another city in Japan. -
V-J day
Japan could not take anymore of the ongoing years fighting, especially after being brutally bombed not once but twice. They surrendered and all allies accepted it.
